Frequently Asked Questions
How are platform fees calculated?
Fees are calculated automatically on each transaction. Contribution fees are deducted from the gross amount before crediting the group pool. Loan fees are taken from the interest portion. Campaign fees are deducted from collected pledges. All fees are recorded in the immutable ledger.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Your data and group history are preserved across plan changes.
What currency is supported?
QSavings currently supports Rwandan Franc (RWF) as the native currency. All financial transactions, fees, and reports are denominated in RWF.
Is there a mobile app?
A React Native mobile app is on the roadmap. Currently, QSavings is accessible via the web application, which is fully responsive and works well on mobile browsers.
How is my financial data protected?
All financial transactions are recorded in an immutable, append-only ledger. Every state change is logged in the audit trail. JWT authentication with short-lived tokens protects API access. Idempotency keys prevent duplicate transactions.
Can committee members be changed?
Yes. Group creators (chairpersons) can manage committee roles. The platform supports chairperson, treasurer, and secretary roles, each with specific permissions for verifying contributions and approving loans.
